Primary education has goals which make it a part of an educational program as a whole. Primary education is the first stage of schooling. In countries like Canada and the U.S., primary education covers the first six or seven decades of college life.

What is primary education?

Although primary education is mandatory, parents can offer this degree of education in most countries. Its significance is undeniable. Primary schooling has been recognized as the basis for college education. When it comes time for kids to get their education, parents can choose to send kids to either private or public institutions.

This level usually starts in kindergarten and carries on until 5-7 grades, depending upon a particular system. Students visit a junior high school or a middle school. Some school systems provide an education that is comprehensive. Students progress to a school after graduation. Students are educated to think critically, to strive to meet challenges to achieve high standards and to develop citizenship and fundamental values. For kids schools must offer safe and orderly environments. Another key competence provided by primary education, one that may not be explicitly targeted by curricula, is socialization.
