Reasons for Joining

How to Join

Membership is open to those who meet the following criteria:

  1. Have completed a university or equivalent training of three years or more at degree level in an area relevant to the study of human development, or
  2. Are professionally occupied with, or have published research that contributes to, the understanding of human development, or
  3. Are post-graduate students (full-time or part-time), provided that they are registered for a post-graduate degree at the time of application to become a member or to renew membership.

Full details are available on the membership and renewal forms which may be downloaded from this page.  The form must be signed and posted as it requests payment through a credit card number.

Considering that the membership includes the Journal and more generally new services to the membership, the Business meeting has endorsed the following membership fees:

* Reduced fees only for colleagues from those countries considered as developing ones by the World Bank (see "list for reduced fees")

Please, note that two year membership allows a substantial reduction (75€) on the fees for the European Conferences. This will be the case for the Jena Conference in 2007.
